Has anybody solved yet the CRAZY issues with this bike model? (Hypermotard/Hypestrada) It seems it is a lemon and SHOULD be recalled (all of them) I have similar Issue ("Disco Dash" on an 821) and local dealer came up with the conclusion that whole ECU, Dashboard, Both Ignition Coils and some wiring harness needed to be replaced,.. this at barely 8,000 miles!!!! with all service done at the dealer, they say warranty doesn't apply, (age of vehicle).. (IMHO Warranty is not for life endangering factory defects,.. and certainly not when so many people affected, go ask Takata airbags vehicle owners or Boeing 737max passengers...) If the Electrical design is flawed and the Coils are apparently frying up all the electronics (intuition according to diagnostic by dealer and info rolling around in web forums) why does the customer have to pay a single extra penny? (Customers pay for a fully functional vehicle upfront) and it is flawed,.. they installed an "electronic filter" of sorts to "prevent" some sort of "malfunction", and now I have the problem too. IMHO If someone need to add a "patch" to a product, it was defective right from design/manufacture and shouldn't have even hit the streets, It is unfair competition for all of the other manufacturers taking their time to thoroughly test out products. Before this I would also experience (on several occasions) having the motor STALL for absolute no reason during downshifting and coasting down leaving me behind with no ABS as well... at just barely 2,000 miles on the ODO! its not gas related, its not maintenance related, IMHO some electronic problem is affecting this model of motorcyle. I no longer trust the ability of the local Dealer,.. I paid for a Code Scan and got back for an answer a "we are not responsible if your bike does not accept/recognize the ECU after the code scan" you might end up needing to buy a new ECU,.. In what world is that normal? As a customer one is under "Vendor Lock-In" situation with someone who states they don't know how to use their own proprietary tools properly.
